For the record, just to inform others, its not Lorenzo Miles or Josh Miles father, but Lee Roy does have 2 daughters who attend Burton. Im sure everyone is talking about their dad and they are having to deal with that. I realize some things may or may not be policy, but more than policy, we need to show some respect on here for others.

For some of you that may not have a clue, yes he deserves what he got, but just remember, he has 2 daughters that had to go home to a home that didnt have power, lights, running water, or heat because their father used his paycheck to buy crack instead of pay the bills. So with that being said, maybe some of you can feel some sympathy towards these youngsters and understand what they are truely going through.

If someone took a cheap shot at the kid, its not allowed and I would have modified/deleted as necessary.

When I read the initial post, the first thing I did was find a coalfield and an article was in there about it. It's a tragic situation and I totally have sympathy for him, but thankfully it took a week, well more than a week to really get out, allowing things to be processed a bit. The parent/coach is a human, and we all make mistakes, but everybody is somebodys parent/child that we post about. It wasn't due to him being a players parent that caused it to get in the press, I dare say that there have been several parents of players brought up on things, some of them probably worse, it was the coaching aspect that got it brought into the press.

youre exactly right, it wouldnt be such a big story if he didnt contribute to the high school.

My brother is a teacher at JIB, and Lee Roy admitted to him(After his arrest) that he has a serious problem and that he needs help. I know some people would like to see a crack head as a monster or a criminal but the truth is, anyone can make a bad decision that results in an addiction. He has a problem, but Im hopeful that people will support him and his family to help him with his problem rather than turn their backs on him. Regardless of him doing what he does, its obvious that hes a good person, He wouldnt donate so much of his time to help out Jimbo and the kids and I can tell you personally, I'll see him out working his ass off for the city. I hope he gets better.

Hey I'll speak from experience, having had family members get messed up in things before, there isn't a one of us in the wrong circumstance that couldn't. We can all think we're above and beyond, but none of us are perfect and I wish him the best.

I think I met him before, and he was a nice enough guy, I wish him the best.

That's a sad situation, especially for the kids. And I hate to see it being discussed on the net too. It's one thing for the family to hear people discussing in whispers, it's another to see it displayed so openly on the forum.

With that being said, I can remember when the hazing crap took place at RC and it was openly discussed on here. Which was fine, I guess...but the jokes are still posted every once in a while.

I guess we can see now how that sort of thing tends to have a trickle effect on down to the innocent party that may some how be associated with unfortunate events.

I know you get pissed off when union man and some of the others make broom jokes on here, So I can completely understand. You have a right to be upset, its not so far out to think that we all can be somewhat mature on here.

I know I like to act like a clown and post some of the funniest things on here, but when it comes to people getting hurt, that crosses the line.

Its ok, I mean its tough, because what some people get ticked off at doesnt bother others, and likewise. I'd love to have kept it off of here, but when it hits the papers/tv stations, its difficult to do and I'd rather there be an adult discussion about it, than 79 people private messaging about it.

Mega provided some good facts to it that from reading the paper and the press, we wouldnt have known.

That is an excellent point I worked with one lady for well over a year before and never would have guessed that she was into drugs like she turned out to be. I still think some type of screening should be done but there is no way it could catch every case.

Mega you are right Drugs are a huge problem in our area and getting worse all the time and all users are not evil incarnate(having them around kids does bother me a bit more though) If the Man has admitted he has a problem that is the first step to getting his life back on track and IMHO if he really wants to change his life I hope that he is able to pull himself and stay clean. I truly hope everything works out for he and his family
